As of June 11, 2015 construction on the Fairfield/Vacaville train
station continues. Crews have replaced the old drainage system along Cement
Hill with new culverts. The old drainage pipes were nearing the end of their
service life and the new pipes will be a big improvement for the future. Contractors started
working on the South Portal which will include stairs and an ADA ramp for the
underpass. In addition, city contractors have been working on grading
activities regarding the railroad tracks Union Pacific Railroads plans to
install. To read more visit the City of California Website.
