Celebrating the Largest Public Works Project in the City's History

On May 29th, a ceremony was held in Fairfield to celebrate the beginning of the Fairfield/Vacaville Train Station construction which is also one of the largest public projects in the city’s history. Fairfield’s Mayor, Harry Price, spoke at the ceremony as Amtrak trains passed by. Price expressed his excitement for the train station and how it will serve the cities of Fairfield, Vacaville and Dixon. Vacaville’s Mayor, Len Augustine, said that the station symbolizes the future and explained that it was important to get its residents to their destination.
