We are 11 months away from the
reopening of Peabody Road. With schools back in session, commuters are getting frustrated with the traffic jams occurring during peak hours.
Although the bumper to bumper traffic seems problematic right now, we have a lot to look forward to once the construction project is over. The Train Station
Specific Plan is made up of 3,000 acres and is shared by multiple owners, all
of whom have planned development for the area. The Villages Community was permitted 1,860 units, recreational parks, and a shopping center at Air Base
Parkway. The Hawthorne Mill Development will provide a diverse community
consisting of commercial and recreational amenities. Hawthorne Mill, the larger
subdivision, will include hundreds of family lots, retail/residential parcels,
and recreational space that will include parks, trails and other public uses. Cooper’s
Landing, the second subdivision, will be made up of about 100 family homes ranging
in size. Once the construction issue is
over, we can look forward to improved transportation and economic growth. Read the Daily Republic’s full article here.
